Preston, the Fillmore County Seat, is a vibrant community in the heart of bluff country in Southeastern Minnesota. Many visit Preston to view the beautiful Root River Valley and access the over 50 miles of paved bike trails in and around the community. Many 'Bluff Country' visitors choose to make Preston their choice for lodging as it offers one of Minnesota's finest B&B's, a motel located right on the bike trail and Bluff Country's most family-friendly Inn. To plan your travels to Preston, please visit our PRESTON TOURISM website.

While catering to the tourist, Preston also maintains it's traditional role as an agricultural and industrial center. The community is home to several mid-sized industries including Foremost Farms and the Pro-Corn Ethanol Plant.
